Duties
Performs organizational and/or manpower utilization studies on a wide variety of positions in the Branch which cover extensively interrelated functions throughout a complex multi-mission activity to identify and develop improvements and efficiency of manpower and methods. Develops statistical and narratives data to justify work unit reorganization or position restructuring as a more productive or efficient use of personnel resources. Evaluates information needs and recommends changes/additions to the Branch databases for improving management effectiveness. Plans, develops and conducts internal review studies of interrelated functions of substantial technical complexity in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Responsible for reviewing the BOP’s intelligence database systems to gather information and data to produce reports for Executive Staff.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. OR Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Knowledge of the principles, methods or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work and contractor performance.
Knowledge of the organization’s mission and functions and how its social, political and technological systems work and operates effectively within them, this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the organization.
Experience working with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies or organizations outside the government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; committed to providing quality products and services.
