Duties
You will serve as a lead software developer responsible for designing and developing reliable, scalable, and secure mission critical applications and components in a DEVSECOPS pipeline.
You will lead a team of Software developers/engineers to design, code, integrate, and debug applications in a variety of languages (Java, JavaScript/JQuery, Python, C#, HTML, etc.).
You will develop complex software, applications, and web services using JAVA. C+. C++, HTML and other development languages/tools.
You will develop and design applications that interact with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.).
You will utilize Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.
You will utilize cyber and software security principles to mitigate software cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
You will create and direct developers in the execution of unit test cases, identify opportunities for automated testing, develop and implement software test plans, and identify organizational tools and procedures for testing.
You will communicate team status, coordinated activities, develop briefs and orally present them to project leadership and sponsor.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 Advance level within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Software Developer responsible for designing and developing reliable, scalable, and secure mission critical applications and components.

Education
Education Requirements for ND-04:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
