You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS NUCLEAR PROJECT ZONE MANAGER in the Deputy Nuclear Production Manager (Code 300N1), Nuclear Production Manager (Code 300N), Production Resources Department (Code 900) at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory Kesselring (KSO) in West Milton, NY.

Duties

You will ensure all nuclear work and testing, including ship's force work package, is identified and included and scheduled. You will monitor, analyze, and take necessary actions to correct problem areas within radiation exposure control program within assigned zone. You will closely monitor work progress of subordinate employees. You will coordinate with shops, ship's force and various shipyard departments for scheduling and completion of work to support project key events.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with principles, concepts and practices concerning shipyard work operations, control system requirements, trade and ship practices. Experience with knowledge of production trade and technical methods, procedures, material and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels Experience with managing a project or portion of a project which involves directing federal wage system and general schedule employees. Experience with project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control and work flow control techniques. Experience with ability to investigate and analyze practices and problems to initiate effective improvements and solutions.
