About the Position: This position is with the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, New York Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), in Fort Hamilton, New York.
Duties
Maintain an automated supply system for material requisitions, inventory, hand receipts and other property book transactions.
Schedule equipment maintenance and repairs.
Establish plans and programs for building safety and security.
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
Manage the MEPS vehicle fleet requirements.
Complete purchases to ensure mission operations are performed without interruption.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a lifting requirement of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to acquire and retain a government purchase card.
- Must maintain current HAZMAT certification.
- Must obtain Blood Borne Pathogen certification.
- This position requires a valid drivers license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with the monitoring and running a command supply and maintenance program, maintaining a property book, and utilizing various automated systems for tracking work and creating reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
