About the Position: Serve as Supply Technician within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Small Market and Stand-Alone Organization (SSO), Military Treatment Facility (MTF), West Point, NY.
Duties
Position supports Class VIII (Medical) Inventory control and supply requisitioning through the use of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
Responsible for screening special program requirements (e.g., troop deployment, shots, vaccines, etc.) to ensure availability of supplies.
Research and conduct searches for identifying management data on items of supply in the Master Medical Catalog (MMC).
Research and identify available sources for non-typical purchases of products and supplies and ensure they are obtained from the best value sources.
Maintain General Fund Enterprise Business (GFEBs) accountability for all credit card transactions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing procured supplies to ensure appropriate accountability and use of supplies; determining the timely replenishment of supplies and other materials; and monitoring financial transactions to ensure availability of funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
