About the Position: This position is located with U.S. ARMY JOINT MUNITIONS COMMAND LETTERKENNY MUNITIONS CENTER GENERAL SUPPLY OFFICE.

Duties

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the key and lock program, ensuring they meet requirements of the organization. Plan, organize, and develop inspection and training schedules. Advise management on key and lock custodial problems. Serve as the primary liaison for the Drug Testing Program. Maintain inventory of tool room, keys and locks for the organization. Issue equipment and tools to shop personnel to complete required work. Conduct training for alternate custodians and other designated personnel the responsibilities associated with key and lock control. Implement accountability procedures for keys, locks, and locking devices assigned to the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A secret security clearance is required.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain Physical Security inspector credentials, DA Form 4261-1, in accordance with AR 190-13.
  • Must obtain and maintain US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) ESS Design, Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS) III Operator and Administrator training for Electronic Security Systems (ESS).
  • Must obtain and maintain DoD level locksmith certification and DoD Lock Program training on combination locks that meet Federal Specification FF-L-2740B.
  • This position requires a Department of Army Drug Testing Coordinator Certification within 9 months of being appointed to the position. Certification must be obtained and maintained as required. Failure to do may result in administrative action(s).
  • Heavy lifting up to 50lb required.
  • Must pass urinalysis test prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Position subject to random testing IAW AR 600-85. Must also sign DA Form 5019-R (CoE for Certain Positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program)
  • Employee must undergo and pass pre-appointment physical examination and meet established hearing and vision tests.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • Incumbent is required to meet ammunition certification requirements IAW AMC-R 350-4 within one year of employment.
  • Must be willing to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) outside of assigned duty station 5% of the time.
  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
