About the Position: This position is with the HQ, US Army Corps of Engineers, Military Programs Directorate, Interagency and International Service Division, Security Assistance Branch. It is located in Washington, D.C. and will be filled on a Temporary basis. This is an obligated position. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years.

Duties

Meet with appropriate officials to resolve problems related to the management of design, funding, and execution of the Foreign Military Sales design and construction/procurement program. Coordinate broad construction/procurement programs containing complex features at numerous locations under diverse conditions. Monitor high visibility projects through the review of reports, programming documents, construction/procurement directives, funds authorization documents, and other program material. Develop and provide case management and operational control over assigned programs.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This is a Temporary position not-to-exceed 1 year and may be extended up to 5 years by a current permanent Army employee.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the General Schedule (GS) 13 Grade Level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as:1) Apply military construction and procurement management principles and practices in accordance with Foreign Military Sales policies, procedures, and established guidance; 2) Manage Foreign Assistance and Building Partner Capacity case management and support operational control over the assigned military construction/procurement programs; 3) Provide guidance on the management of assigned programs; and 4) Interpret policy relating to design and construction management. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementDecision MakingPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a GS position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
