This position is in Region 5, Mission Support Division, Human Capital Branch, Labor and Employee Relations Section. About Region 5: https://www.epa.gov/aboutepa/epa-region-5. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-05 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-04 level defined as providing assistance or support to activities of daily living for individuals with targeted disabilities; OR for individuals in assisted living facilities; OR for individuals in hospital/other healthcare-related facilities; and basic office personnel support. - OR four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  -Ability to carry out personal care assignments. -Skill in oral communication. -Knowledge of basic office software. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).  Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.  You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
