About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. Duties

Serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist performing evaluations and analysis for the Installation/Garrison, Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) and Installation Fuel Farm Facilities under the Supply and Services Division. Inspect completed projects and services, notifies Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and contractor of violations and deficiencies noted, particularly in the areas of schedule, cost, and technical performance inadequacy. Review reports of contractor performance to assess degree of compliance with contract requirements and to identify problem areas. Execute work orders against authorized line items included in the contract, attesting to availability of funds and validity of the transaction.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring quality of material and supplies required to support projects and conducting review of contractor performance against the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) to ensure compliance with regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR, Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR, Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCompliance InspectionQuality AssuranceTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????07).
