You will serve as a PLUMBING WORKER in the FACILITIES DIVISION of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
Duties
You will receive work assignments established by emergency or routine work authorizations containing information relevant to the location and type of work to be accomplished.
You will perform minor repairs of an urgent nature where sanitation or utilities is a factor.
You will unstop drain lines and plumbing fixtures.
You will repair or replace gas, water, and steam lines and fittings.
You will work on steam systems, restricted to low pressure, replacing existing fittings, valves, radiator valves, pipes, etc.
You will use various tools associated with the plumbing trade such as hand tools, saws, cutting/threading machines, electronic drills and electric sewer rodding equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
