About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G4 G44(S) Supply Directorate Troop Support Division (403) located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Acts as a senior functional advisor to all Major Army Commands and other Department of Defense (DOD) organizations.
Participates in development of long-range Army field service, aerial delivery, mortuary affairs logistic goals and objectives.
Ensures the development and execution of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) responsibilities for the Management Decision Package for Army Logistics Support Programs.
Conducts ARSTAF-wide reviews to identify complex problems, provide solutions, and direct corrective actions.
Serves as functional manager for fielded systems and other equipment within assigned commodity area.
Develops, modifies, and provides updates to publications and policy directives to ensure clear and concise direction for Army field services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting complex studies and analyses on equipment and system problems to improve program effectiveness; developing long-range Army field service, aerial delivery, mortuary affairs logistic goals and objectives; providing written assessments and recommendations to senior leadership and coordinating efforts with other agencies; and developing and executing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) responsibilities for Logistics Support programs, field service management procedures, policies, and technical processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
