Duties
Serves as Contracting Officer?s Representative (COR) for and service contracts assigned.
Performs Production Controller duties in direct support of facility infrastructure, equipment and maintenance operations.
Inspects and evaluates service contracts in-progress to assure compliance with specifications.
Coordinates modifications to contracts as required to achieve a complete and useable product.
Prepares correspondence relative to contractor submittals, payment estimates, modifications and scheduling of work.
Prepares master schedule of major jobs which use the total work force most effectively.
Position may serve as a COR with proper delegated authority following policy I/A/W FAR, DFARS, and DLAD.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Production Controller, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. For current and former Federal civilian service employees, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. For all other applicants, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-08 grade level or equivalent in the military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Current and former Federal Employees, GS-07: Assisting in performing Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) duties; Planning for construction, maintenance and repair projects; Performing inspections of construction work in progress.
All other applicants, GS-08: Preparing correspondence and documents for contract preparations and execution; Calculating cost estimates including material and labor costs; Overseeing budget and manpower activities within projects.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
