About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Serve as Senior Program Manager for an assigned major commodity area (Airframe, Engine, Components, and Special Projects). Negotiate workload programs via the LMP workloading system and with higher/lateral headquarters. Recommend and coordinate changes in material provisioning for and scheduling of input into production shops. Make decisions to accept/reject workload programs for the activity for own assigned area of responsibility. Prove and validate cost estimates on projects and analyzes reports for the purpose of determining production trends.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning, scheduling, managing, and coordinating a variety of projects for manufacturing, and/or overhauling and repairing of aircraft, components, engines, and related sub-assemblies; 2) Cost estimating man hours and material requirements of programs to assure efficient planning and scheduling; 3) Negotiating, accepting, and rejecting workload requirements for depot related level maintenance of aircraft, engines, components, and assemblies; AND 4) Using complex automated management systems such as LMP, SAP, ERP and Microsoft suite. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
