You will serve as the Director Equal Employment Opportunity (DEEO) for the Naval Intelligence community. You will identify and recommend policy changes and practices that are barriers to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program. You will recommend program objectives and innovative programs to achieve a harmonious, balanced environment within the workforce which reflects the composition of the civilian labor force.

Duties

You will utilize thorough knowledge of Federal EEO laws, policies and regulations and to interpret them and to develop implementing instructions for command level programs. You will develop policy, including implementing instructions relative to the administration of a discrimination complaint process for both individual and class and develop uniform policy guidance for counseling and investigative processes. You will develop and implement Affirmative Action Plans, Discrimination Complaint Procedures and Special Emphasis Programs for minorities, women and individuals with disabilities. You will provide orientation, training and advice to managers and supervisors; and make written materials available to employees and applicants to ensure understanding and implementation of EEO programs within the Naval Intelligence community. You will utilize Federal Personnel policies and regulations on staffing, classification, employee relations and labor relations functions as they apply to EEO operations. You will serve as a first-level supervisor and perform technical, administrative and management tasks that involves planning, directing, assigning, leading, and monitoring the work of the unit.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing policy, strategic initiatives, and recommendations for senior leaders.
