This position is located in the Department of Compact Operations (DCO) of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band 5 which is generally equal to GS-5.
The number of applications is limited to 50. The vacancy will close at midnight EST on the date the limit is reached or on the closing date, whichever comes first. Applications received on the date the limit is reached will be accepted and processed.
Duties
As an Infrastructure, Environment and Private Sector (IEPS) Intern, you will have an opportunity to:
Assist in developing and managing tracking and reporting tools to monitor progress of the portfolio.
Work closely with IEPS management team to -support improved knowledge management practices and communication tools for the division.
Develop research and analysis related to MCC and specific topics, in particular Climate Change.
Undertake special projects in support of departmental and divisional priorities.
Develop presentations, draft remarks and talking points, and create data visualization tools for meetings, events and travel.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship position, the following requirements must be met:
All applicants must be currently enrolled and seeking a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in International Development, International Relations, Public Health, Agricultural Science, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change or a closely related field. (You must be taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load).
For pay band 5: Examples of specialized experience include, but are not limited to: performing administrative assignments supporting the development, implementation or closure of international development assistance projects or programs; developing presentations, drafting remarks or talking points; experience creating data visualization tools for projects, meetings, events and travel, etc.; drafting a variety of written documents, such as project summaries, status reports, memos, briefing papers, presentations, and meeting minutes; acting as liaison with individuals and groups both inside and outside an organization to coordinate programs and project activities.

Applicants may substitute education for experience. To qualify based on education applicants must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school study leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.

Applicants may qualify based on having a combination of qualifying specialized experience and education as described above to qualify at the Pay band 5 level.
Desirable: Knowledge of international development programs or projects.
