JOB DESCRIPTION: Polygraph Examiners conduct polygraph examinations on NGA civilian, military, and contractor personnel in accordance with DoD regulations and Federal standards. They conduct in-depth interviews, collect and interpret physiological data, and provide concise written reports on each examination administered. They remain current on changes in techniques, methods, and regulations.

Duties

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The NGA Polygraph Division conducts polygraph examinations on a worldwide basis in support of the NGA security clearance adjudication process and Department of Defense operational missions. NGA polygraph examiners conduct examinations to detect and deter espionage, sabotage, or other acts against the federal government, unauthorized release of classified materials, unauthorized foreign travel or contacts, and unlawful representation of a foreign government. Although stationed at ADF-C (Buckley Space Force Base, Aurora, CO), the incumbent may be expected to travel to multiple NGA sites (especially at various locations in CO). Duties involve opening and managing a polygraph office at ADF-C to include building networks, setting up the site, and working closely with the Polygraph Program Manager to determine standard operating procedures. Duties also include administering polygraph examinations in accordance with federal standards for NGA civilian, military and contractor personnel, the analysis of polygraph charts and the conduct of in-depth extended polygraph testing and post-test interviews. The incumbent will conduct polygraph interviews as directed and may provide command briefings on the polygraph method when required. Qualifications

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Demonstrated experience as a federally certified senior Polygraph Examiner running various types/formats of polygraph examinations.2. Demonstrated experience completing the polygraph examination process to include verifying subject's suitability for testing, drafting appropriate questions, collecting and interpreting physiological data, and providing conclusive results for a federal agency.3. Demonstrated experience conducting in-depth interviews and writing/presenting reports.4. Demonstrated experience applying guidance from National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA) manuals and federal policies and procedures.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. -AND- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in investigations. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must obtain DoD/Federal Polygraph Examiner Certification as directed by management.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated experience collaborating, building a professional network, and establishing constructive and effective relationships.2. Demonstrated experience conducting quality control reviews ensuring only federally compliant examinations were authenticated.3. Demonstrated experience working cohesively in a team or group environment.4. Demonstrated experience managing an office.
