You will serve as a Deputy Director Civilian Human Resources in the Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education Human Resources Office of Bureau of Naval Personnel.
Duties
You will assist in the development and administration of command-wide HR processes and operations which are responsive to Command requirements, goals, and mission.

You will provide authoritative advice and guidance to management and supervisors regarding HR program policies, procedures, and practices.
You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in maintaining the operational Human Resources Office (HRO) functions.
You will prepare business cases to support Human Resources (HR) initiatives and develops and explains total HR costs.
You will collaborate with the assigned Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) Director to provide quality end-to-end HR service to the Command.
You will assign work to HR employees, ensures technical accuracy of work and ensures timelines are met.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing, directing, or managing the delivery of civilian federal human resources (HR) services involving one or more of the following functions: recruitment and staffing, classification, compensation, labor relations, employee relations, oversight of automated personnel information systems, or employee development; ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations; developing, interpreting, and/or advising senior management on HR policies and administration; and providing substantive input to the strategic planning of human capital resources for an organization.
