Duties

You will provide substantive administrative and technical work in support of environmental programs. You will collect program information from technical specialist, enters it into electronic or manual information systems, and retrieves it as requested. You will assist with writing and maintaining environmental plans for assigned programs. You may serve as focal point for certain assignments, programs or initiatives. You may perform assessment inspection of buildings to determine the presence- of asbestos-containing materials.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching and applying standard data gathering to collect and review technical information on environmental activities; 2) Assist specialist with a wide range of environmental work; 3) Preparing reports, spreadsheets and other operations in support of the environmental program; 4) Ability to make decisions, resolve problems or discrepancies based on knowledge of environmental procedures.
