Duties
You will review and disposition appointment requests and conduct psychological health assessments on scheduled and walk-in basis during normal working hours for the Brigade of Midshipmen.
You will provide brief psychological health assessment, crisis management, treatment planning, counseling, psychoeducation, and direct clinical services to USNA Midshipmen.
You will provides comprehensive individual and group psychotherapy at all levels of complexity for midshipmen.
You will Oversee coordination and integration of intake and triage activities and interventions as directed by the Midshipmen Development Center (MDC) Directors.
You will implements comprehensive treatment plans by arranging for required services with other agencies in compliance with multi-disciplinary treatment plans.
Requirements

- Appropriate state licensure at an independent practice level (e.g. LCSW, LCSW-C, LICSW). Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain privileging at the U.S. Naval Health Clinic Annapolis.
- In depth professional knowledge and understanding of complex mental health diagnoses and the impact of diagnosis on patient.
- In-depth knowledge of human physical, psychological, and emotional development dealing with a wide age-range of patients
- Knowledge and skill using DSM and ICD criteria for diagnosing patients and developing treatment plans.
- Professional knowledge in completing comprehensive individual psycho- social assessments and treatments.

- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to sexual assault reporting and treatment requirements. Knowledge of Navy and DoD sexual assault program
policies and the interactions of those policies with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) providing brief psychological health assessment, crisis management, treatment planning, counseling, psychoeducation, and direct clinical services; 2) provides written evaluations which includes assessments of the client, support system, and environment.; 3) Provides psychosocial assessment in preparation of treatment plans with regard to current best practices in counseling treatment to include direct care, group support, and referrals to tertiary and external care settings.; And 4) Advises on problem-solving methods and/or techniques.

Education
Applicants must possess at least a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8:
1. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree, OR
2. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree, OR
3. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree, OR
4. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship.
