About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Utilize logistics software systems, i.e., Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and related transactions and reporting features to complete capacity reporting requirements. Analyze production reports and work center efficiencies used to formulate and compile pertinent data for reports on capacity. Monitor numerous work center reports and data to analyze and evaluate work center capacity, productivity and efficiency. Advise leadership and production supervisors of capacity requirements. Resolve conflicting requirements of scheduling, cost, work loading, machines, and direct labor utilization to obtain the most effective utilization of directorate resources.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes forecasting, monitoring, scheduling and/ or expediting workload needed to support for anticipated and unanticipated programs utilizing logistics scheduling and planning software and automated systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ConscientiousnessPlanning and EvaluatingReasoningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
