Duties
Development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the item's life cycle.
Monitor operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adherence to quality plans and requirements.
Serve as an organizational representative on teams or committees outside the organization.
Perform assignments in technical support aspects of substantive mission-oriented programs.
Interact independently and proactively with customers.
Apply knowledge, experience and critical judgment in making major compromises to satisfy overall technical requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Three-year probationary period may be required under the demonstration project Family unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) GVSC is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. The DE-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-12 step 1 to GS-13 step 10 level.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the DE-03/GS-12 equivalent grade level, you must have 1 year of specialized experience at the DE-02 (GS-11 equivalent grade level or higher equivalency). Specialized experience is defined as experience equivalent to DE-02 (GS-11 equivalent grade level or higher equivalency) in the Federal Service which includes experience in: (1) Quality assurance experience in acquisition lifecycle management (2) Reading, interpreting, and applying technical data and (3) Identifying inadequacies and requesting corrective action.
