This position is located in the Division of Quality Management at the Santa Fe Service Unit in Santa Fe, NM. The incumbent provides consultative advisory services to the Service Unit management staff, plans and overall manages the Quality Management Division, and overall the Service Unit compliance and performance improvement. Report to Chief Executive Officer.

Duties

Administers oversight of the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs, governance oversight, risk management, safety, and infection control. Responsible to organize and coordinate the overall activities of the QAPI program to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements. Identifies and implements systems to effectively monitor compliance to new and evolving quality standards and implement new QAPI processes to meet changing requirements. Works with Medical Staff and Nursing Services across the department to build a medical environment of quality and safe patient care. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home) at the time the degree was obtained. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-13: One (1) year of Specialized Experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 Grade level in the federal service. Specialized Experience: Implement a Medical-Clinical Quality Improvement Program to meet Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Accreditation Standards. Develop processes to improve the delivery of patient care, both collaboratively and independently. Determine short-or-long term goals and strategies to develop continuous quality improvement methodologies. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
