The position of Custodial Worker is located in the Branch of Facilities Management, Division of Administrative Services, Wind River Service Unit, Ft. Washakie, Wyoming. This position is supervised by the Custodial Worker Supervisor.
This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
Duties
Dust, wax and polish furniture, vacuum, sweep and mop floors. Wash walls, doors and ceiling fixtures by use of ladders and scaffolds and may change light bulbs.
Move heavy furniture, supplies and equipment. Maintain a stock of cleaning materials and equipment to perform janitorial work.
Ensure that safety and security rules and regulations are followed and ensure that materials and equipment used are stored safely and are protected.
Clean offices, storerooms, hallways, restrooms, waiting room areas, examining rooms, and also pick up trash in front of the clinic and walkways outside.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Competition for Custodial Worker positions is restricted by law to persons entitled to Veteran's Preference as long as such applicants meet the additional eligibility criteria under the IHS Excepted Service Examining Plan and/or IHS Merit Promotion Plan

WG-3: Your resume must demonstrate experience obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Cleans various areas, e.g., exam rooms, public restrooms, walls, floors, furnishings, windows, outside entrance, respond to emergency cleaning needs; vacuum, sweep and maintain floors within the facility and facility quarters when required; Use of manual and automated cleaning tools, e.g., brooms, mops, high pressured floor and/or carpet cleaners, pressure washers, etc.; remove non-infectious and infectious waste, mix and use chemicals, lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
