You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will be responsible for coordinating with program managers/senior leadership with overseeing the implementation of actions involving requirements determination, acquisition of supplies/materials. You will provide program oversight to assure timely operational support and integration of new logistical or changing supply management concepts and develops methods and techniques required for program execution of property. You will review property management and accomplishments for technical adequacy, consistency and compliance with policies and procedures. You will represent the organization in all supply issues with senior leadership and reviews/analyzes unusual supply support requirements and develops necessary planning to effect timely and effective customer support. You will ensure consistent, efficient, effective mission execution, promulgation and optimization of organization supply chain policies and procedures. You will be managing property accountability systems, and assuring that acquired property is in place where and when needed. You will ensure progress toward goals, meeting of milestones, optimum data conditions, operations situations for forecasting, planning and funding programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) ability to oversee a wide variety of supply system functions to ensure continued supply support throughout the program. 2) experience reviewing property management and accountability for technical adequacy, consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, directives, etc. to ensure progress toward goals, meeting of milestones, optimum data conditions, operations situations for forecasting, planning, and funding programs. 3) ensures consistent, efficient, effective mission execution, promulgation and optimization of the organization supply chain policies and procedures.
