This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, Position Description Number D1066000 and is part of the KS AASF 1, National Guard.
Duties
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13, you will perform duties such as; provide flight, and flight training operations, Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM), Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), and aviation maintenance training for supported Units. The purpose of the position is to manage, plan, organize, and direct AASF logistics operations in support of AASF and supported aviation unit training and flight operations. The Aviation Logistics Management Officer (ALMO) provides logistical support to, and partners with, the AASF Commander, Flight Operations, Safety, Quality Assurance, and supported unit commanders in planning, scheduling, and implementing a comprehensive flying program. Through subordinate supervisors and supervised maintenance test pilots, the incumbent is responsible for managing and administering the AASF logistics functions to meet mission requirements - both state and Federal. The ALMO integrates and coordinates efforts of disparate functions and resources to optimize readiness of supported aviation units. The ALMO represents the AASF for logistics at all levels of command. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- KANSAS NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance within one year of appointment.

- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

- Graduate US Army UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot Course.

Qualifications
The position under this announcement is being filled using the National Guard Accelerated Hiring Authority (NG AHA). Selection will be made through a process without applying traditional competitive rating and ranking procedures
and where interviews are optional. Merit factors shall be the basis for selection. Merit factors are determined by the individuals' ability to perform the duties of the position. Merit is based on such factors as previous work experience, education, abilities, and competencies. In order to be referred, applicant must meet all general, specialized and education requirements of the position.
Military Grades: Current 153M, 153D, 153A, and 15 series
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
