You will serve as a PLANNER & ESTIMATOR in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will prepare detailed job orders for the maintenance, repair, alteration and minor new construction of public works electrical systems and associated components. You will make on-site visits with persons submitting requests for alteration and new construction, determines requirements, designs a system and writes work orders as required for either high or common voltage electrical systems. You will estimate total man-time requirements, and details labor cost by shop, using Engineered Performance Standards, historical data, and by the application of knowledge acquired as an electrician or electrician (HV). You will determine and recommend new procedures and/or products to save maintenance time and dollars and improve shop productivity. You will review completed preventative maintenance check sheets for deficiencies which need to be corrected.
