You will perform building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties. Incumbent utilizes journeyman knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts. Duties

Performs carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, roofing, electrical and HVAC trades duties at journeymen level. Constructs, alters, repair, and modifies a wide range of features in buildings, quarters and other facilities. Construct and repair a wide variety of structural items such as building frames, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door and window frames, interior and exterior trim, and miscellaneous items. Repair, maintain and remodel existing historic and non-historic structures in compliance with building codes and utilize historic preservation techniques needed to maintain historic integrity and or fabric. Paints, decorates, and refinishes a variety of interior and exterior surfaces of offices, buildings and other structures, finishing and equipment. Maintains, constructs, repairs, and alters a variety of structures and surfaces of brick, block, stone, and other related materials. Installs, modifies and repairs electrical systems and components Operates and maintains a wide variety of equipment and maintenance vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, material, and personnel to and from sites and to perform duties of the position. Installs, modifies and repairs new and existing utility, supply and disposal systems and equipment.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading) Knowledge of Materials Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
