The position is located within the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization and may be assigned to a geographical location under the purview of the Office of Investigations & Professional Responsibility (AXI). The mission of ASH is to ensure aviation safety, support national security, and promote an efficient airspace system through the development and administration of policies and programs.
Duties
The incumbent serves as an Investigations Analyst within the Insider Threat Detection and Mitigation Branch (ITDMB) performing performing a mixture of routine, multiple, and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manager or more experienced technical analyst/specialist. Applies experience and detailed technical knowledge of Insider Threat inquiries and investigations in order to collect, analyze and share information. Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Experience working on Insider Threat inquires/assessments supporting a wide variety of matters of sensitivity and scope; evaluating allegations and analyzing evidence; preparing analysis reports and making recommendations.OR3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree directly related.To qualify for this position at the I-band: you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H / FG/GS-10/11/12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Experience working in or with an Insider Threat Hub, supporting a wide variety of matters of extreme sensitivity, scope, and complexity; evaluating allegations and analyzing evidence; utilizing technical tools (e.g., user activity monitoring and/or user behavior analytics tools) and platforms for analysis; preparing reports; and making recommendations.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Eligible applicants meeting the minimum qualification requirements and selective factor(s), if applicable, may be further evaluated on the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) listed in the announcement.
