Serves as a Maintenance Mechanic within the Air Traffic Organization, Technical Operations, and reports to the District System Support Centers.

Duties

Serves as a Maintenance Mechanic that accomplishes routine and emergency repair, evaluation, and installation of buildings and structures, facilities, and grounds maintenance. Has working knowledge in at least one of the areas of carpentry, electrical, mechanical, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), or plumbing trades.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• Interviews will be conducted IAW applicable Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.

Qualifications

To qualify, no specific length of experience or training is required; however, you must show evidence of experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of a journey person Maintenance Mechanic in your resume. This position requires knowledge, skill and abilities in various trades of work such as mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, welding/metal fabrication, painting and general knowledge of electronics and equipment. Your resume must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position to be filled.Eligible candidates will be ranked based on Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA), if applicable.
