This is a permanent, career-seasonal position. Career-seasonal positions are guaranteed to work at least 6 months but not more than 50 weeks per year and include all the benefits of permanent employment. The non-pay/non-duty time for this positions is expected to last from late January to mid February.

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
• You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties.
• Driver's License: must submit (in state sealed envelope directly from the state authorities), at your own expense, all certified driving records from all states that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
• You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
• If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
• You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. (SCREEN OUT). Independently performing maintenance, repair and installation of heating equipment, air conditioning refrigeration systems and electrical systems. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of materials If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
