This position is located within the Service Delivery Area for the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service
Unit. The purpose of the position is to serve as Supervisory Dental Officer over the Mashpee
Wampanoag Health Service Program, supervise dental staff and to provide advanced dentistry services
in accordance with the Indian Health Service policies.
Duties
Perform as a supervisor over other dentists and other dental department employees.
Exercise supervisory and managerial responsibility for planning, development organization, integration and evaluation of clinical services for dental department.
Provide direct care services of a scope, quality and quantity consistent with Agency and facility policies.
Conduct an oral health program that is integrated with other health services available.
Administers local anesthesia & Performs routine and complex tooth extractions.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below-
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Perform full range of treatment in dental disease or health problems requiring corrective, restorative or preventative measures, encounters diagnosis and administers treatment greater than usual difficulty, deals with cases presenting patient behavior and communication problems.
OR
2-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science.
