You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICE of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will perform duties as the Environmental Compliance Manager and maintain all required permits, plans, reports, and files.
You will travel regularly and represent the USMC at meetings and conferences.
You will administer aspects of the program including budget, training, reports, data calls, and files.
You will prepare, revise, review directives, instructions, SOPs, and Base Orders to ensure support and implementation of program requirements.
You will seek and justify funding requirements for programs and specific projects that are environmentally driven.
You will develop and submit project documentation and funding requests.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, analyzing, evaluating/modifying an existing environmental compliance program; developing and establishing new procedures related to environmental compliance including(i.e. hazardous waste management, hazardous material minimization, oil and hazardous substance spill prevention and planning, pollution prevention, installation remedial action/clean-up, oversight and regulatory liaison of drinking water, storm water, wastewater, air quality, environmental training); and environmental management system (EMS) coordination and auditing.
