About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE),Moore, Ga. The MCOE is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Public transportation and free parking are available.

Duties

Create community awareness by ensuring preventive education is provided in the areas of spouse/partner and child abuse and sexual assault Provide specialized Family Advocacy Program (FAP) knowledge and technical guidance to the MWR, ACS Commander, staff and major subordinate commands in program development, implementation, management, and evaluation. Serves as staff action officer for FAP. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs, information, and instruction to MWR, ACS personnel. Obtains, maintains, and analyzes data for planning and reporting purposes in accordance with governing program guidance.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, developing, executing, evaluating, and modifying a training program designed to provide the organization with information and guidance regarding program procedures and policies. Participates in training conferences and workshops to keep abreast of current professional knowledge and skills relating to the development, management, and implementation of FAP programs. Prepares reports and surveys as appropriate to meet requirements outlined in the regulation and as requested by the Department of Army (DA). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Social Work, Psychology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
