About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, with headquarters in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command and is staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 65 military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services.
This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
Train subordinates on proper test score data entry techniques.
Resolve testing score issues/problems.
Conduct testing sessions when required.
Review test scores for validity and consistency.
Enter validated test score into automated systems.
Prepare reports on the testing program for management.
Oversee test security, control, and storage procedures.
Conduct inventories of controlled materials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has been designated as non-sensitive and requires a personnel security background check.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state issued or US territory issued driver's license.
- This position may require the incumbent to work regular evening and weekend work as required.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: Perform data entry of test results into an automated system; Solve testing issues for applicant testing sessions; Oversee security of controlled materials; Train staff on proper procedures to carry out an assignment. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
