You will serve as an Industrial Property Management Specialist assigned to the Property Management Office at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) responsible for administering, coordinating, and implementing the acquisition, utilization, control, and clearance of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
Duties
Serves as liaison between the center Supply and Equipment Management Officer, contractors, and organizations with regard to maintaining property management systems and procedures required by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Reviews contracts/grants/agreements to ensure applicable government property regulations are included in the award document and performs on site visits for FAR compliance.
Interprets complex property clause contracts; monitors and independently reviews contractor performance for completion of applicable clauses.
Manages property control systems involving production, research, development, testing, repair, and processing of highly complex space transportation.
Ensures personal property management activities are being conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level
Using Property Management Systems Analysis (PMSA) control methods/techniques (i.e., inventory procedures and pre-award post-award requirements for grants and contracts, and standard grants administration issues or problems);
Reporting and disposing of excess and surplus personal property;
Implementing decisions about the size, value, or outcomes of a contract and ensuring the needs of the contract are met.
