THESE ARE NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITIONS.
These National Guard positions are for TWO GS-2005-07 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32) positions, Position Description Number D0849000 in SPMD 4740 and are part of the MO TASMG Shop.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: These are Indefinite-Reimbursable Excepted Service positions. These are bargaining unit positions. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BELOW.
Duties
Performs routine and non-routine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.
Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs.
Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management.
Responsible for limited aspects of storage management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- This position is authorized to be filled as long as reimbursable funds are available.
- Advanced in hire rate may be granted to set pay above the minimum rate of the grade for a new employee if he/she possesses superior qualifications relevant to the positions' requirements and is essential to accomplish the agency's mission.
- Creditable Service for Annual Leave accrual may be granted to new employees if he/she possesses superior qualifications essential to the position; and which were acquired through performance in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position.
- The duties performed in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position must directly relate to the position to which appointed and such qualifications are necessary to achieve an important agency mission or performance goal to be eligible.
- In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status.
- Employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice.

- These are Excepted Service positions that require membership in a compatible military assignment in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Qualifications
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. These are Excepted Service positions that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidates must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.
Enlisted - MOS 25B, 36B, 51C, 88M, 89A, 89B, 92A, 92F, 92G, or 92Y
Supervisor must verify that selected individuals occupy a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and using computer and automation systems.
GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
Education
This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
