About the Position: The organizational location of this position is USAF, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Command (AFLCMC), 88th Air Base Wing (ABW), 88th Medical Group (MDG), 88th Medical Support Squadron (MDSS), Medical Logistics Flight, Wright-Patterson AFB OH.
Duties
Perform duties as a Contract Officer Representative (COR) to include monitoring to ensure satisfactory performance on the part of the contractor.
Provide office automation support to prepare procurement actions.
Execute purchase requests for specialized supplies and/or equipment.
Review purchase request for specialized requirements.
Maintains all records concerning the monitoring and management of the contracts.
Certifies acceptance of services to distribute appropriate documentation to contracting agencies for payment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties.
- This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements.
- The employee must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements IAW DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8.
- Appropriately handles and safeguards sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Position requires the skill of a qualified typist (40 wpm).
- This position meets the administrative exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.206).

FOR THE GS 07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes : (1) Pre-award contract actions including source selection; (2) Administering a variety of contracts through termination or closeout including contract modifications (i.e. post-award procedures); (3) Providing advisory services on specific contracting problems, projects and/or programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
FOR THE GS 08:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Performing pre-award contracting functions using a combination of contract methods and types; (2) Administering a variety of contracts through termination or closeout including contract modifications (i.e. post-award procedures); (3) Monitoring contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
FOR THE GS 09:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Performing aspects of the procurement cycle to include evaluating proposals, contract negotiations, execution, administration of supplies, services, or special assigned programs; (2) Performing pre-award and post award procedures to plan and conduct the contracting process; (3) Developing procurement packages to meet the needs of the agency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
