You will serve as an OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR STATION.
Duties
You will answer and respond to telephone inquiries to meet the needs of the customers.
You will review outgoing correspondence (e.g..proper formatting, letterhead, font size and type) to ensure documents comply with the organization's correspondence rules and regulations.
You will create reports using data from Excel spreadsheets or similar software to submit status to management of customers of an organization.
You will compose correspondence with correct grammatical accuracy, format, arrangement, and completeness.
Requirements

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience applying correspondence rules to type and prepare a variety of business letters, memoranda, directives, narrative reports, and other documents; 2) Experience processing forms and requests used in various office support tasks, such as time and attendance, travel and supply requisitioning; AND 3) Experience producing a wide range of documents requiring use of advanced software functions, such as automatic generation of indices and tables of contents, importation of graphics or special symbols, creation of glossaries, and precise alignment of multiple columns, to enhance productivity and/or meet the needs of complex formats.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
