You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Visual Information Directorate of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.

SALARY GS-12 $94,199-$122,459
Duties
You will assist in a variety of functions as an Audiovisual Production Specialist during different phases of a production.
You will analyze and review scripts before broadcasting or recording.
You will establish long range shooting schedules involving numerous shooting locales.
You will review site survey and approve locations.
You will edit a wide variety of complex audiovisual productions, including sound effects, music, narration, dialogue and visual effects.
Requirements

Qualifications
FOR THE GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience producing audiovisual products using many different production methods and techniques.
Experience preparing an operating plan, identifying proposed locales, personnel, equipment requirements, special effects, sets, talent, wardrobe, etc.
Experience coordinating with production personnel to ensure proper lighting, blocking, framing, camera angles, sound and effects.
Experience reviewing footage and determining the acceptability and/or necessity to reshoot scenes.
Experience controlling camera movements and cuing in all audio and visual elements.
Experience directing live broadcasts and orchestrating on-air actions of production crews.
FOR THE GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assisting in a variety of functions during different phases of a production.
Experience editing pre-existing video and audio material into a production.
Experience using computer imaging hardware and software.
Experience conceiving and directing visual and audio effects.
Experience utilizing a variety of production equipment such as waveform monitors, vectorscopes, digital effects generators, video switchers, and signal processing equipment.

Education
FOR GS-11: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
