Duties

Position Description # D1208000 This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position isto serve as a working leader of three or more Electronics Mechanics, WG-2604-10. Performs duties such as field and limited sustainment maintenance and repair on moderately complex electronics equipment and systems. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower-graded workers.. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in military assignment in WV's National Guard, and is required prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered, or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency.
• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory security clearance, AND, as a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to assignment.

MINIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E-6 MAXIMUM MILITARY GRADE: W-2 Your rank MUST be included somewhere within your resume. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Experience or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to lead other technicians engaged in the inspection, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, electrical blue prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and to assign work and monitor progress SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc. Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
