THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SOCIAL WORKER- Title 5, Position Description Number T5012000and is part of the WI JFHQ, Wisconsin National Guard.
Duties
- Supports the psychological health team in ensuring medical readiness for the WI Army National Guard
- Develops relationships with military and community groups to enhance prevention efforts and expand available BH resources.
- Coordinates and implements prevention and education programs.
- Conducts clinical screening, evaluation, and consultation services.
- Builds efficient processes to manage BH referrals and case management services.
- Conducts population-based behavioral health surveillance to examine trends and further develop targeted prevention and mitigation strategies.
- Provides consultation, education, and training to military and non?-military health care professionals concerning behavioral health policy, psychological fitness, and primary and secondary prevention programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Social work degree and must have fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The applicant's record of experiences, training, licensing, and education must show full possession of the competencies needed to fully perform the position's required duties and responsibilities.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-12, applicant must have 1 year equivalent to the next lower level at least GS-11 level (24 months) of experience in clinical social work assignments. Must have specialized experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems, helping them work-out plans for improving the situation, providing assistance and services, referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated, and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate.
Education
Degree: Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the Master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social work Education.
