Duties

The major duties for this position are as follows: Follows manufactures specifications, VA specifications, and pertinent published regulatory directives as guidelines to accomplish workload Planning and scheduling of work assignments on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis to provide efficient operation Evaluating completed work in a timely fashion Setting standards for performance guidelines Planning and scheduling approval of leave Performing formal appraisals of work performance; determining training needs; completing all required reports Initiates recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates Counseling employees; completing disciplinary actions and interviewing and selecting candidates for vacant positions Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Position Description Title/PD#: Utility Systems Operator Supervisor/PD063080 Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Incumbent must be able to climb stairways and ladders, lift heavy objects(up to 100 pounds), crawl and stoop in close spaces. Heavy physical exertion is required in opening and closing heavy valves, cleaning equipment, lubricating, and other maintenance work. Crawling into small openings and working in confined spaces is also required.
