About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Flight. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave.
Scheduled hours will be 40 per week.
Duties
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: Aug 11, 2023, Aug 21, 2023, and closing on Aug 30, 2023. Announcement will close once position is filled.
Serves as a focal point for technical support specialist (Client Systems technician) providing computer assistance and support to the 45th Force Support Squadron. Preforms diagnostics, minor maintenance, and repairs on squadron computers as required. Coordinates repairs and diagnostics with base computer technicians, elevating problems to supervisor as needed. Serves as ADPF custodian; conducts and maintains ADPE computer inventories. Analyzes problems and processes, design, and acquisition of 45 FSS computer systems. Develops user guidance, performs studies of proposed applications, and develops programming specifications. Servers as FSS base level functional system administrator for Point-of-Sale systems. Responsible for installing new software releases, identifying, and resolving hardware and software problems, and ensuring computer systems operations by utilizing knowledge of system codes and interpreting error messages. Performs computer security duties to include proper computer configuration and installation in compliance with AFI and 45SW regulations. Recommends new equipment and software programs to users or activity managers. Determines and establishes computer user and security training requirements and ensures squadron personnel receive required training. Assists in the planning of long-term studies of the FSS commercial design of internal program structures if FSS systems and configurations. Monitors the operation of assigned programs and responds to problems by diagnosing, identifying problems, and conferring with the Data Automation Supervisor to resolve. Write and maintains systems operations and maintenance instructions. Analyzes performance of FSS system backups and coordinates changes as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have progressively responsible computer experience or education which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of this position. Must be knowledgeable of windows applications and able to troubleshoot windows applications in the network environment. Required to develop/implement sections for software programs. Must be able to interpret and apply Air Force and other regulations related to data automation and computer security. Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries and obtain an appropriate security clearance. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty to including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be Security Plus Certified. Work requires some physical exertion such as regular complete a pre-employment physical.
