Duties
You will serve as a technical team lead responsible for management and oversight of a diverse set of stakeholders and team members.
You will provide life cycle architecture assistance to the Project Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager, or Product Manager associated with acquisition of subsystems, systems, and system of systems.
You will develop supporting documentation and provides statement of impact on engineering, development, horizontal technology and technology insertion, and the ability to perform life cycle management.
You will perform the identification and definition of key interfaces between the systems and components and resolves conflicts between these interfaces.
You will define the system and subsystems lifecycle through the products operating life. Considerations and
requirements for new units, service levels and service locations and system configuration management throughout the lifecycle.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 level basic within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
Attention to Detail - Directs, coordinates, and integrates all systems engineering tasks to effectively implement disciplined systems engineering process and procedures throughout all acquisition phases of the assigned subsystem, system or system of systems acquisition.
Customer Service - Works with customers and across the organization to understand how the
customer's needs are evolving and how this will impact our system and subsystems. Identifies and works across the organization to ensure that we are managing the technical development process across the enterprise.
Oral Communication - Leads discussions and decisions around the management of the system requirements, guides the team for configuration control of requirements and designs.
Problem Solving - Able to resolve and negotiate requirement conflicts in order to establish a complete and consistent requirement set for the system. Identifies areas of uncertainty and risk when determining requirements. Assesses the impact of changes to requirements on the solution and program.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading or mentoring an engineering team on technical analysis' (e.g. requirements, systems & control, functional, etc.), infrastructure development, OR management activities; AND Leading or mentoring engineering teams coordinating software development and integration.
