This position is in the Office Budget and Financial Management (OBFM) within the Office for Operations in the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM). OBFM is responsible for all budget and financial management functions, including budget formulation, justification and execution associated with overall FECM research and development programs in the Office of Carbon Management, Office of Resource and Sustainability, and the Office of Operations.

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will:
Requirements

- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level [enter grade] in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Providing identification and analysis of changes in budgetary policies, regulations, constraints, objectives, and funds available.
Conducting research, identifies and analyzes trends in the use of funds, and recommends adjustments in program spending which requires the rescheduling of program workloads.
Assisting program managers and staff officials in interpreting the impact of, and planning for, multi-year budgetary and program changes, which includes various budget functions involving the formulation, justification, and execution of budgets for organizations, programs, and projects.
Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
CTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
