About the Position: You will serve as a Construction Control Representative and assist the Resident Engineer in monitoring contractors and quality control and inspection program for assigned construction projects.

Duties

Negotiating differences in scope, direction of change, and costs of labor, materials, equipment, overhead, etc., at issue with the contractor Reviews contractor's proposal against prepared government estimate. Responsible for evaluating its design feasibility and cost effectiveness. Conducting any necessary coordination with project personnel, using agency representatives, District personnel. Provide comprehensive advisory and technical services on functions and practices to all other members of the assigned program or project team.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to wear appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, and eye and/or ear protection while performing regular and recurring construction site visits.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.
