This position is part of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response, Office of Petroleum Reserves, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing policies, goals, and priorities for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve and the Northeast Gasoline Reserve. In addition, you will provide the oversight of logistics functions for the drawdown readiness and fill programs.

- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will participate in drug urinalysis testing.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting two of three the following:
Providing program and project management to ensure efficient and effective planning, direction and timely execution of numerous large and complex efforts;
Developing standard operating procedures, and reports, and presenting informational briefing and implementing new systems, policies, guidance and procedures of logistic functional requirements;
Supervising, directing, overseeing and coordinating the work efforts of a large complex logistics focused organization through subordinate supervisors and team leads.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
