This position is part of the SP- Assistant Secretary for Fossil, Department of Energy. As a Administrative Officer, you will be overseeing the operations of the largest crude oil stocks in the world and ensures the office crude oil is ready respond to and meet the energy security demands of the United States.

- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
- New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
- Subject to a background investigation to determine suitability or fitness for federal employment and eligibility to hold a sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon favorable adjudications of reinvestigations and/or continuous vetting.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Managing budget formulation and yearly financial management plans in accordance with Federal regulations and Standards.
Planning and executing comprehensive contractor oversight plans.
Supervising and managing a team of Subject Matter experts.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
