You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Information Assurance (IA) Division ofNAVAL FAC ENGR CMD EUROPE SW ASIA you will be located in Norfolk, Virginia, USA.
**This position is a full time remote/virtual position. Salary will depend on the location of your residence and established pay tables.
Duties
You will assess the vulnerability of installed information systems to provide a measure of risk avoidance within the overall risk management framework.
You will implement security plans and programs with conflicting requirements or objectives imposed by other agencies.
You will validate security products to detect security weaknesses and support Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAMV) requirements.
You will collaborate with an Information Systems Security Manager to stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity requirements to educate the customer and facilitate seamless application migration into the information technology (IT) environment.
You will manage the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements to ensure application of information security and information assurance (IA).

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461 within 6 months of appointment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Develop and maintain a command cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives, and policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures.
Monitors progress and resources to mitigate risk and to properly manage customer expectations.
Modifying IT plans and policies to respond to changes in the command's business or mission requirements and processes or change in legislation or regulatory requirements.
