You will serve as an Aircraft Electrician in the MRO Production Department. of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will perform complex electrician work involved in the disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, installation and maintenance of aircraft electrical systems, equipment and accessories.
You will make independent decisions and judgments regarding complex troubleshooting techniques, modification, and repair procedures.
You will have the primary responsibility for checking out the complete aircraft wiring system and connections, and ensuring that all settings, calibrations, functional and operational checks are within specifications.
You will provide technical assistance to other equivalent or lower graded employees and verify the work of another for tasks they are qualified to perform.
You will be responsible for actively participating in command goals and programs such as but not limited to Quality, Safety, FOD, tool control, housekeeping, use of work order documents and technical directives and special skill certifications.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision: 1) Troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate and perform final function and operational tests of complex electrical systems and accessories; 2) Disassemble, repair, modify, assemble, test, install and maintain aircraft electrical systems, equipment and accessories such as automatic flight control, fire detection, instrumentation, power distribution, fuel indicating systems and utilities used in/on fixed and rotary wing aircraft; 3) Interpret and recognize circuit configuration on schematics and diagrams; 4) Use common hand and power tools such as wire strippers, wire crimpers, soldering irons, heat guns and other tools and equipment peculiar to the aircraft electrical trade; 5) Use test equipment such as Automatic test equipment (ATE), osciolloscopes, multi-meters, meggers, phase meters, and frequency meters to test aircraft electrical systems; 6) Analyze, correct, and maintain all electrical systems on fixed and rotary wing aircraft; 7) Interpret and use blueprints, technical manuals, IETMS (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals), wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical directives.
